Why can’t I share a comment‑only link?
If you’re trying to share a comment‑only link in Webflow but don’t see the option, here’s what possibly isgoing on.
Comment‑only links aren’t available for Guest roles
Webflow currently restricts access to the comment‑only share link for anyone assigned the Guest role inside a Workspace. This is expected behavior and not an error.
Guests can view and leave comments, but they cannot generate or copy the comment‑only link themselves (confirmed by Webflow support on 7th of January, 2026).
How to get the link instead
If you need to share a comment‑only link with your team or stakeholders, simply ask your:
- Workspace Owner, or
- Workspace Admin
They can generate the link and share it with you. Webflow provides an option for “Anyone with the link can comment”, which allows the link to be forwarded freely once created.
For further clarity, the comment link is available on all paid hosting plans and workspace plans for admins (outside of the guest role) and owners of workspaces. Webflow Support, Jan 7, 2026
Will Guests be able to generate links in the future?
Webflow has confirmed that expanding this feature to Guest roles is on their radar. However, there’s currently no timeline for when (or if) this change will be released.
... the addition of having "Guest" roles be able to access the comment links is on the teams radar! However, I do not have a timeline of if or when this addition will be added. Webflow Support, Jan 7, 2026
